Car kept cutting out
Today I went to drift the vette out of the carport without actually starting it. After I moved it I forgot to turn the key back and it sat with the ignition in the on posistion for several hours. Im running Pertronix with a hotter accell coil. When I realized what I had done I quickly started the car and it fired right up. The coil was pretty hot though. I figured everything was ok. Later that same day while driving the ignition would cut out every 1/4 mi or so. My first solution was to change the coil which I did. It seems to have corrected the problem and the car is no longer cutting out. Does this make sense? Can coil go bad in that it will cause intermitant stalling? After it would stall, it would always start right back up. Since replacing the coil it hasnt stalled yet.
