Problem with blower motor 80 Corvette

My blower motor is operating on high speed. I can live with but it does not stay on. It is very erratic, it will go from high speed to off and back to high. I dont know if it is the switch ont console or the resister on thew blower. Howe can I chech it, and where is the resister located?
and how do I get at it ??

Resistor is under the hood where the heater motor is...it is on top.

Here is a diagram. Does it work on the other speeds? If so it might not be the resistor and the high speed bypasses the resistor.

If it only works on high speeds then you need to replace the resistor. If the high speed is inconsitent after the change then you should troubleshoot the switch.

I just ordered the resistor and the console switch. I will try the resistor first and if that works I will have a new console switch if that ever goes.
