Default 1970 Corvette Registry Members....

Hey, you know what I just realized, This month is the TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the 1970 Corvette Registry! :D :yesnod:

...I've finally semi-automated the database HTML generation portion of the Registry. I'd like to express many many many thanks to Don Ferguson (70 Vette) for helping me with the database updates. We divided and conquered the massive backlog - I programmed, he entered data. :yesnod: I think we have now the bulk of the new members online (there are a few stragglers I haven't logged in yet) ...But updating it is much much easier now so I shouldn't get so far behind again!!! (That's the plan!) ;) Presently I have a set of Macros to export the data and a Fortran code I wrote which then builds the HTML automatically.

Thank you everyone for all your patience. I've been seriously running out of hours in the day the past 6 months and I really appreciate that nobody (well almost nobody) ;) has hassled me for being so far behind with the registry updates. Oh, I must also thank Troy for the extra web space so that I can continue to keep the '70 Registry on the CF servers. :D

Anyways, I also have a favor to ask of you Registry members - much of the old HTML was manually programmed & typed by yours truly. As such, some of the descriptions etc were different from those in my Excel database. There was also some missing data in my Excel database - mostly in cases where folks sent me additional option / trim tag info weeks laster. I've tried to go through the entries and make sure I have the latest version of things, but some might (probabaly did) slip through the cracks.

Favor Please... Can you registry members please check your car entries and e-mail to me any corrections / updates? Juliet@annapolis.net Or you may post here to keep the thread at the top. :D Be sure to include your build # (Last 5 digits of your VIN). I'll update those ASAP. :)

Next line of business - sorting the data. For now, the data is online by VIN sequence. I plan on putting 2 other versions of the database online - One sorted by Engine type, a second sorted by exterior color. I'll have a few code tweaks to do to make that happen, but I'll try to get it online within the next week or so.

OK, here's the link: http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970regi...0Registry.html

Whew, now that that's out of the way and no longer hanging over my head like a dark raincloud, I can get back to putting my shark back together guilt free !!! Sophia needs to be ready with her sparkly like-new drivetrain / rear suspension by June 8 for the Vintage Drag Races! At the moment it's scattered about my garage in about 1000 pieces - if not more!

Thanks everyone! ~Juliet :seeya

Juliet - you da woman!

Here's a couple of corrections for my listing.... s/n 4089.... build date is 18 February and original color was 967 (Mulsanne Blue). Other than that, everything looks cool.

THanks - you mean 976 though... right? (A trim tag typo isn't an impossibility though). ;) ~Juliet

Juliet,
Aparently the former owner Eric Tagason (silver convertible corvette)knew you and wished that I contact you so that any information could be transfered from his name to mine. I didn't enter that many entries in the form, as such. Looking at the data base though it does not seem as if the data base for my silver convertible is incomplete. It may be because the trim tag is missing on the car. If you have the time, I would so greatly appreciate if you could change my name over from his. I wonder is there any where else on the vehicle where I might determine more information about it's optinions. Thanks for you time Juliet. Good luck with you restorations!!! Wait- also I just checked the data-base and with your update I believe you have changed the entries from the last time I checked- before the codes were different on the car- and it was cortez silver- black vinyl interior- now it's green and saddle.. that data at least is incorrect.
I sent you an email with my info!! :):):)

Hi Rob - Sorry about that. I think I have it fixed now. I'll tty offline about how to ID factory options vs. non factory ones. :) Yours was one of the updates which made it to the HTML but not the Excel database. Thanks! ~Juliet

NO, she still hounds me on that one, BUT the sale of Killer was a big blow to me. I though I could get over it but I really liked that car, I went on the road tor with my son a had a great time in that old coupe. But the money is helping to build a new home for Jodie and I. Thad
PS if I get a 72, will I be banned from the 70 group? :bb

Good catch Len! I had the format width set to 25 characters so it was cutting it off. Revisions uploading now.

Thad - What number was BooBoo? I want to double check that it's got the new guy's info... I know he sent it to me. :) I don't recall if I got the Excel updated or just the HTML back then.

You guys going to Carlisle this year??? I'm hoping to have static cling window stickers of our logo by then. :yesnod: ~Juliet
