Found a great source for High Speed Drill Bits
While at the Auto Auction in Toronto recently, I stopped by a booth selling recycled High Speed HSS Bits from the aircraft industry.
Finally got to use them yesterday. Very good!!!!!!!! Dug in immediately where several other high-cost bits simply spun their wheels.
Frankly, when I bought the package I was prepared for disappointment....you know, buy on impulse at a car auction! BUT, I'm very satisfied.

They have both Canadian and U.S. addresses for orders.
By the way, what caught my attention at the selling booth was the demo being used. The guy had an old leaf spring that he was drilling holes through. The bits went through like it was butter! :smash:

looks like a pretty good buy for 2 packs for $30.00 C$ You say they can cut spring steel It's worth a try thanks:)
