New alternator plug, cables diff in size.
So i ordered a new alternator plug, got it just yesterday and was about weld the hot cable with the old one, but i noticed the cable in the plug was a little bit smaller then the old one. What will happen, and what do i risk when welding these ones? They dont differ very very much in size, but asking never hurts. New to this.
Probably should'v taken off the shoe on the old cable to make the thickness of the copper wires more clear for you.

The size of the wire matters a lot less than the rating. Can you read any numbers/letters on the new wire? This should tell you what that wire is rated for, as long as your alternator doesn't exceed that, you should be okay.
