Default Instrument lights not working

I've replace the 4 main wiring harnesses and don't have any insturment lights. Everything else appears to be working fine. What have I forgotten?

Make sure everything is grounded good. You can run an external ground from the battery to check this.

good Luck.

The center post on your temp gauge is the ground for the center cluster, is that in place?

Did you remove the headlight switch there's a ground bar from H/L switch to speedo housing have seen them fall off.

Thanks everyone for your replies. First I'll try the ground from the battery. I have to guess I forgot a ground on the back of both the center bezel and main dash. Darn it.

I think someone mentioned the fuse, I was in the same situation, the fuse was not blown. But the prongs that hold the fuse had just enough corrosion on them so that it wasnt working (they looked good visually). I took the fuse out and wire brushed these and it worked. I know it sounds stupidly simple, but I felt extra stupid and simple when it worked for me.
