hi every one.
I Bought a 77 vette a few weeks ago with no engine in it i stuck a battery in just to put the windows up to try and keep the inside clean but i have no power inside the car. I checked the wires for the starter and there is power when i touch the test light to the ground wire that looks like its hooked to the frame to go to the engine. does that wire need to be hooked to the engine to get power? if not can some one give me a clue on where to look?
thanks
The fusible link and the cable from the battery are connected to the solenoid using the same stud. The car gets its power through the fusible link because of that connection when the starter is in place. You need to connect those two wires together to get power to the car.
