Why am I slower?
I was driving yesterday and I noticed a burning smell so I pulled over and my compressor for my AC was smoking. I cut the belt and the unit was siezed. the engine sounded alot smoother after I cut the belt. I then checked the timing and it was advanced 10 degrees so I set it to 8 degrees TDC and now its alot slower. I used to chirp the tires in second and nothing now, and its sooo much slower at 30 to 50 mph range. Any thoughts from anyone? :confused:

If your damper is stock, I wouldn't be surprised it the outer ring has slipped and your indicated base timing is inaccurate. You probably have less than 8 degrees TDC if that's the case.
