Default '77. straight dual or xpipe??

Alright so now comes the time where I have to finish my exhaust. Anyone have any tips and ideas on which setup is better for sound and performance? My friend suggested xpipe. All I have is the stock 350 L48, and flowtech headers with a 3" collector. And I have some extra Flowmasters with 3" inlet and outlet. Any cheap inexpensive tips for a noob? :P

You definitely want an X or H if you have the chance to knock out some drone with a stock engine.

Drone= when you get to a point at certain speed and the interior sound almost explodes your head.
I stop at that point everytime my wife rides in the vette!
An "H" pipe is an older setup to equalized both pipes to each other and negatives out similar sounds from each pipe.
An "X", I have no idea other than its more work to make.

You ever think about just pulling over and kickin her out at that point? Lol. No I'm with ya, the drone when me and the misses are riding provides me with a little piece & quite. Lol again. Seriously it dose become a little loud, no need for a radio at that point, the decibel it would take to hear the radio would be deafening.
