Default Coil springs BB

Well seems the BB is too much for my current coils.

A local trader has a set of heavy duty coils forsale he thinks they are C3 corvette.
Does anyone know the uninstall (free) hight of heavy duty front coil springs.
These ones measure 135mm x 240mm

Unsure of wire size

Thanks

Front springs are not terribly expensive. Just give VB&P a call and they'll set you up with a pair of correct ones. If you're going to go through the trouble of changing them, just do it once.

My .02

Edit: Oops, just noticed your lacation. That certainly adds a twist but I would still think it's worth the effort to import them.

Yes, it does double the cost.... we have local spring makers, but last springs I had made ended up been a huge drama getting spring height correct......

You can certainly cut parts off the coils to reduce height but it does take time and effort

the only thing I've been able to find is
1.inside dia. 3.825"
2.wire dia. .656"
3. free height 13.13"
4. load height 11"
thats for a 427 BB but in a 68, dont think there would be much of a difference for yours. you'll need to convert to the mm's. I'm a bit 'tarded when it comes to metrics.
did a poor mans conversion on your mm's, your's are shorter by 4" and fatter by 2".the height might work depending on spring wire size, but the diameter may not.
hope this helps, whenever you ask for info, you need to post the year of your C3, they are different year to year. I read your profile, others that probably have the right info wont.
