I remember reading on the forums somewhere how to tuneup the carb by turning some screws in and out. I'm just not sure which screws or anything. Can anyone give me some steps to a carb tuneup? Or any advice. I barely redid my timing and got new spark plug wires and the centrifugal advance and all. Just need to do my carb. Any help please?
Look in fuel&intake section as well as Timing&Vacuum Advance sections.
Lars paper for carb is in fuel and intake, then you can check out your timing setup to ensure you're good to go.
Hey, look man, I'm not trying to make ya feel bad, but there is a lot more to tuning a carb than turning a few screws. You really need to know a little bit about how carbs work, so you'll know what the screw you're turning is doing. There are lots of webpages out there on the internet that will help you, and several books. Here are a few links to get you started.
However if you are "not" having problems there is no need to adjust, it wont get you more power. If you are having a particular problem then start another thread explaining what it does or doesnt do.
I've been going through all those links. And I actually learned quite a lot. A lot more than I knew, which was basically nothing haha.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. That was perfect!
