Default School me on starter numbers

I replaced my starter with a mini starter tonight and I was wondering if someone can decode my serial number. 1107709 2023 5
I am assuming it is the original from my 72. I wanted to know if I should rebuild it and save it or not. Thanks for any help.

Hello Ian. No matter how it decodes, save it. If you can not find a rebuilder in your area send it to me and I will get it done for you. mike...

Thanks Mike, you are the best. What does it cost to rebuild one do you know? Just curious.

Other than shipping, if the coils are in good shape, for YOU, about $35.00. I have a friend with an old school rebuild shop here in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. mike...

I found a list of numbers on Willcox's site. None of them matched
mine The plot thickens. Got to love Willcox though anything you need is there

Anyone have any idea on my numbers? Maybe its not original?
Just a side note, if you are having heat soak problems like I was, put in a mini starter, man does it make a big difference. It starts up like a champ!

That starter #1107709 fits an International Pick Up from the 60's with a small V8.The correct starter for a 350 w/AT
is 1108430 with a MT it would be a 1108418.

That's what I get too, rebuilders typically mix and match parts during overhaul, the numbers and dates are meaningless to them.
