rear leaf spring
My neighbour bought a 79 C3 that sits really high in the back. We were comparing backends and the the spring on my 80 arches upwards while his arches downwards. Is that normal?

your spring in the 80 is shot then......the spring should face down, not up. your neighbor most likely had the spring re-arched or was done before he bought the car. take car of your ride and do the same!!

Your neighbor has either a re-arched or new spring. It also appears yours needs to be replaced. If you neighbor wants to lower the rear height, he should buy (graded) longer bolts for the ends.

Seriously, as others have stated, all nine leaf springs should have at least a slight positive arch in it.
