Default Hot Rockers

Just read the article on Crane's 1.6 stamped rockers in the latest " Chevy Hi-Perf." magazine. I am running the XE250H cam with roller tip 1.52 rockers and Dart Iron Eagle 180 heads. I would like to get a little more lift out of the cam. I understand my heads flow real well on the exhaust side.
My questions are:
1. Do you think this would be a good move?
2. Should I just change the Intakes?
3. If so, can I mix roller tips and stamped? That is stamped on all the intakes and roller tip on the exhaust.
4. Do I need to change pushrods? I would not think so.
5. I have screw in studs with guideplates. The rockers have extra long slot. This should be okay. Right?
Please advise of any issues. Thanks in advance for your comments.

You really need more cam. Stock measure about 1.47 so even 1.52 is an increase. Roller tip will help reduce valve guide wear. Increasing the rocker ratio is a good idea. Yes, you could replace the intake only.

That's a perfect cam for a guy that justs wants to leave it in Drive with a 3.08, since at WOT it shifts at 5000, and it has gobs of torque at low rpm. I had it in my 72, and it was happy to pull away at 20mph in high gear!.
Once i realized how easy it was (for me) to reset the governor to shift higher, in went the xe262.
I got a set of 16 Summit 1.6 rockers for about $68.
More lift is a good idea, considering how easy it is to swap. Do all 16.

If you use the 1.6 rockers, check carefully that the pushrods don't contact the slot in the heads they are going thru. The increased ratio comes from moving the pushrod closer to the fulcrum, and some heads don't have room there. You can make clearance with a round file or die grinder, but that involves removing the heads to catch the debris. Joe

I found a set of new Crane 1.6 stamped rockers at the swap meet Sunday. Installed on the intake valves only last night. Took a test drive and "wow" what a difference in acceleration. Now I'm wondering if I should do the exhaust. Anyway, I'm just going to enjoy this new found speed for a while. Thanks for all the input.
