everything under my hood looks pretty awesome (pure stock, original)
EXCEPT for the coolant overflow tank...
my guess is that it looks like crap cause nobody want to change it cause its a PITA....is it?
oh ya...of course it is air conditioned...yikes!
whats the deal here...is it hard to do?
To clean my overflow tank, I removed it, filled it ~1/3 full with a mixture of Castrol Super Clean and kitty litter. I used duct tape to seal it up and shook the hell out of it off and on for a couple of hours. Drain and rinse.
It won't make it look like brand new but it was a huge improvement.
I removed mine while the engine was out so I can't really provide you with the information you need.
It was certainly easy enough to remove and install when I did it. :D
Just had mine out on my 75 today. Don't know if there the same, but here goes.
1) Remove front P-side wheel.
2) Remove two (2) 3/8 bolts that hold tank.
3) Take take out of fender well through engine compt.
4) Drink Beer!
