ordered the JCL baffles....

i sent the money order on Thursday. hopefully will have them on the car within 2 weeks. i have read the posts on the difference they make. anyone have them and want to tell me about the difference you felt with them on??? :cheers:

I had the Hooker mufflers for a couple years and the older they get the worse they sound. Not to mention all the trouble I had getting them out of the side tubes :mad I can assure you that you'll be having eargasms very soon :jester

Your gonna love them. Finally made the sidepipes sound right and performance gains are very noticable. You are going to be a very happy camper. JCL ROCKS!!!

I received mine on Friday. Changed them on Saturday. I haven't taken it on the street yet, but the sound was the same as the hookers. Maybe just a touch louder, but just a touch. I immidiately noticed that all the gas fumes coming out of the exhaust pipes was noticably reduced. I suspect that more air out equals more air in so better flow, not as rich. I'm just guessing at this but my eyes didn't water and I didn't see all that black smoke last time I fired it up. I was working on other stuff to worry about running rich at this time. Very simple and straight forward to put them in. Took about a week to get them.

Mike btn those new rims and the JCL's you are going to have one amazing ride. Now have you done about your diff. Have you had it checked out yet, you need to do something as how are you going to keep up with us sb boys on the highway? SuperFast has his carb working like a top, MotorHead is busy not trying to shread his tires @ WOT @ 70 mph, mg62 is in for some heart surgery as well and then there is 73-454's monster, the list goes on bud. Did you get my email about a mutual friend who would swap rear ends with you, he has others as well. Lookin' great bud. :cool:

2nspire...that is great news about the exhuast clearing up..i think the baffles will increase the flow both in and out...
Greg..i am not too worried about keeping up with you guys on the highways.... it is you guys that need to worry about keeping up with me in the city... :lol:
as for 73-454...we have not seen him yet this year so no need to worry about that " monster "..just kidding 73.... :D
i have been thinking about re-working the heads and changing the cam..should put me at 500hp or a little more but i have decided to wait till next year...i will have between 6000-7000 $ into her this year so i think i should stop soon.... :D :D :D
