The 82 I just purchased recently has the FE7 suspension, after looking through the "search" there are many interesting threads from years gone by, from other forum members. Learning alot, but have additional questions. Received my window sticker and build sheet from CM the other day, and am wondering if there is a way to determine what spring rate the codes actually are?

FRT SPRING......LH & RH.......BHJ
REAR SPRING......................NML
FRT SHOCKS......................ZA
REAR SHOCKS.....................ZE
STAB BAR............FRT.........596
No listing for the rear...but have the rear bar and aluminum struts..

I am thinking about replacing the rear spring with a VBP 340 lb spring that they made for me that is supposed to be installed on my 74 BB Vert when the time arrives..... which could be soon....
But anyway the 82 now has a set of Koni's and does ride good on smooth surfaces and handles great on the curves, but can be a little jarring over the bumps, etc. Now the rubber is toast in the spring, so I may replace them first and see if there is any improvement before changing out the spring...decisions, decisions.....
I also have a set of the Bilsteins Sport shocks that I may swap out with the Koni's, although there are thoughts that the Koni's are a very good shock for this application.
The steering will wonder on the straight aways and there is play in the wheel, which may need a steering box adjustment or possibly a box rebuild.
So your thoughts or comments if any, are welcomed.........Tom
