Default Hooker Comps vs Super Comp Fitting

I've finally been persuaded by my builder to replace my 2.5" ram horn exhaust manifolds with full length headers.
Originally, I was planning to use the 1 5/8" Hooker Comps on my 409 SBC but had to go with the 1 3/4" Super Comps as the 1 5/8" comps wouldn't fit my exhaust ports without restriction.

So now I have the Super Comps installed on my 195 Profiler heads and realized the Super Comps are wider apart than the Comps were so the outlets are right at the corner of the floor where the trans tunnel forms.
If these things were about a 1/2" more towards the center of the car, I'd have no issue but as it stands, there is NO way to get a straight reducer on these headers without it hitting the floor.

Is this a common issue using these headers or is it more because of the exhaust port placement on the Profiler heads?

Anyway, I need to find some sort of angled collector reducer (2.5" exhaust pipe) to get the pipe away from my floor-
The only place I've found that sells angled reducers is Sanderson.
Has anyone used their angled reducers or anyone elses?
What other options do I have to route the exhaust without cooking my fiberglass?
I need to rig something up so I can get the car to the muffler shop and I'm considering a chunk of 2.5" flex pipe and the angled reducers to get me there without getting a ticket for noise or starting my floor on fire.

Any advice and/or pictures would be most appreciated.
Thank you!
Elm

Just be glad it's not a big block. I had 2 1/8 super comps on my 540 in my 77 and had to move the brake proportioning valve and it was a pain to get the exhaust pipes run to the back thru the cross member.

You can probably look in Jegs and see if they sell something you may be able to use or make work.

I hear ya.. That's why I've kept them around so long but my builder told me that even with my ported 2.5" ram horns, I'm probably leaving about 40 HP on the table with my current engine specs.

I still have the ram horns and pipes- If these headers turn out to be more of a pain than I can feel with my right foot, I'll yank em' off again..

Yes a set of 2.5"Rams horns I had on my 355LT-1 made 390crank HP but, put on a set of Hooker Super Comps and Watch out! 30HP increase and 40FT/LBS of torque. The Vette ran 12.60s @ 113MPH with iron manifolds and 12.28 @ 117MPH with headers (both through same muffler exhaust pipe set.)

I have Hooker Comps on my 427 sb with AFR 210 Elininators (same headers with a previous 383 w/AFR 195's). Yes, they do come close to the floor, and with 3" exhaust, the piece I have from the collector to the pipe near the X-member (about 16" long) was custom bent at the mufffler shop and dimpled in about 1/2" to clear the floor.

Sorry I don't have close pics....

Fwiw I had the same issue with hooker comps. Custom elbow on mine to make the 3" pipe work...

Looks like I'll need a custom 3" to 2.5" reducer off the collector that will come out at an angle and curve back to mate with the pipes in the cross member.
