Rebuilt Differential
Gents, the differential on my 1980 L82 needs to be rebuilt, its leaking. I was hoping to find one that I can swap out that is already pre-built and swap out the core. Any suggestions where I can go look for one?? Or, should I just have it rebuilt? I have a four speed automatic installed, (not stock of course).

Its leaking pretty much everywhere there is a seal. Small leaks, its wet on both sides of differential and then where the pinion connects to drive shaft. I was thinking that I would replace the stock pinion gear to give it a little more off the line? Any suggestions?

i still cringe when i think what it cost me to have my diff/clutch rebuilt and new 1/4" trailing arms installed....this is the time to do some home work and make the right connections for work on your vette. sometimes we need professionals to work on our cars and this is a pricey repair, but it gives you the opportunity to make a good connection if you realize it up front.

Either Mike or Gary can rebuild the diff, but if you want one in a hurry you need someone that keeps them in stock. I would be happy to help if you're on a tight time schedule.
