Default 12 Volts for Electric Choke

Hey Guys, Where is a good spot to get a keyed 12 volts for the electric
choke other than the 12 volts that goes to the distributor on my '76 small block. Thanks, Deny.

I did this, and ran it to a junction block that I mounted on the firewall where the CCC relays were formerly located. I also ran my electric fan relay wire to the same spot.

I purchased a marine 4 gang blade style fuse holder and mounted it next to the a/c fan relay. Wired it to the ign fuse terminal to wire the choke, fans and electric water pump. I like it because it has a snap on cover to keep out any dirt/dust.

Never ever use the 12V at the coil.... if it is pre hei it has a ballast resistor in front of it and this will chance the voltage both to your chock and ignition... and cause you much grief. if it is post hei you dont have the ballast resistor bu it is still a bad idea as it may still reduce the primary voltage to the coil and the HEI module may not like it ether, and run bad...

Been there .... done that
