Default Quiet the C3?

Well.. I'm a proud owner of a 1979 Corvette. However, I don't much care for all the rattles, squeaks and so on which have come with the little darling. What I'm looking for, is to build a list of known trouble-spots on these cars that can be buttoned up/modified. For example, there's a rattle coming from the rear of the car that I can't seem to find, I know it's on the inside- and it sounds like wood, so I suspect it may be the roller on which the rear-cover is attached. There's also a very annoying squeak coming from the clear-plastic covering of the speedo/tach cluster, near the steering-wheel shaft. Anyone else know of any annoyance spots?

the rattles and squeeks can all be beat eventually by enough effort and searching...the thing I desperately NEED to beat is that damn wind noise at highway speeds....at 80 mph the car is LOUD...top up or down....I"m not talking external noise, I expect that, it's the LOUD wind noises running around the top and side windows....any ideas??? are those missing rubber blocks around top of the door jamb and deck lid all that important on wind noise??? don't look like it....
