Dying seat covers
I've read through the archives and see people who have dyed their seat covers, and those who warn against it.
Has anyone done it with success? I'm going from oyster to black.
And, I'm not really sure if my seat covers are leather or vinyl. How can I tell?

I dyed some in my '79 from tan to oyster. I still haven't driven the car to see how well it's going to hold up. I used vinyl prep to clean them, then sand-free primer, then sprayed the dye. It looks good, but it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
