I entered the 78 in the Lone Star Corvette Classic and won my class for Modified. I am pumped. Had a great time and even saw a few Forum members.
Today we were able to take the C-3 on the track and shoot some great video. One of the guys in my group knew the track person and the pace car driver, so I think we were able to post the highest speeds of 110+. Talk about scary the first time around. I hit turn 4 at Texas Motor speedway at a little under a 100 and back start to slid. Woo hoo. Shot a lot of video, most of C-5's bumper at high speed. Those cars can really move at high speeds.
Awesome Buddy! My car is on the road and I'll be taking it places when it no longer has a 4" hole in the fender. We'll all have to have another dyno day out here or something to see what my car will pull.
Congratulations! It is a great feeling to be recognized by your peers. I never gave the subject much thought until, on a whim, I entered my first show a few weeks ago.
Congrats!!! I'm so sorry I missed the show. I'll certainly go next year and may even consider showing mine. Are you going to participate in the Wichita Falls show this fall?
Thanks guys, I have watch the video of the track about 10 times now. All my neighbors keep coming over and watching too. I guess they all feel like they had a part in it. If drinking beer  counts. I can't wait till Dave(Zora_Rules) and I paint it this Fall. Still trying to decide on a stinger hood or flames. I'm sure it will come to me one night at 2 in the morning. Thanks again.
