Default electric headlight conversion - whatever happened

Reading the 'worst engineering' topic got me to wondering whatever happened with Jim Duchek's electric headlight conversion or the other one someone was working on. I have been away from the forum for a while, so sorry if I missed it. I had sent money to Jim Duchek at one point, did we all get stiffed on that one?

Chris McDonald (69MyWay) has done this to his 69 vert. I'm pretty sure he mentioned something about small production when its completely finished. I definetely first in line when somebody come up with set up that really works well and doesn't cost diamonds! :yesnod:

I'd also like to know what happened with that project... what's his email address?

Thanks,
Jerry

Odd that I actually checked the forum today (it's been about a month), and I see this up. It's coming along rather slowly. I don't get much free time these days. I have a new set of motors that I'm pretty sure will handle the thing, and I have circuitry designed (not yet tested) to detect when the motors are at the end of their run w/o having to use push-buttons (as was my original plan) and such things. It's kinda neat actually. I still have a redesign of the mechanical assembly to do, due to hood clearance issues and motor-power issues of my last design. Ohwell. There's the deal.. back to work...

Ah, I refunded everyone who asked, after the first two designs didn't work out -- two people, I think, said they'd wait. If you want a refund let me know, else I'm expecting about August before I really have time to do the mechanicals (Finishing up a very long contract at work by then -- Be back to only working 40 hours a week, it's been a LOONG time...)

BTW, if anyone has any questions/comments/concerns that are directly for me, email to jduchek@caseta.com or jrduchek@blueridge.net -- I probably won't have time to be checking this thread.

Jim
