Default Bubba wired rear tail lights-pics and 3 questions

Q2 PO connected red wire from outside light to inside light. Is this wiring correct? Answered my other two questions by searching the Forum, should have done that first.

Thanks

I can help with Q1: You should be fine splicing wiring, but use a waterproof butt connection. You crimp these on to the copper, then a heat-shrinkable sleeve provides a water-tight seal. Sounds like you're in luck if you can match the original connection by wire color.

Thanks. I can see the LG wire in the harness and I am hoping for favorable winds with an easy fix.

What year? I'm guessing 69 and later and the PO wanted four rear lights like the 68s.

Yes a 69. If all four rear bulbs are lit simutaneously, the two inside white plastic rings might confuse whoever is behind me, but they might think I am backing up and give me more space. More brake light illumination is desirable, but I like the original look and assumed that only the outside bulbs were for the brakes.
