Default Recommend Trans, and rear end?

Gentlemen,
Ive just recently bought a new engine for my 1975 stingray and was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions for a new transmission & rear end if even needed.

i currently have an L48 stock engine in my 75, and bought a 383 Stroker with 505Hp. everything on the vette is stock.

Thanks in advance.

I would go with a TKO 600 RR with the .82 OD kit from Keisler with a 3.55 rear gear, have Tracdogg2 Or GTR1999 build you a 12 bolt pumpkin, HD halfshafts and The Tom's outer axles if your racing. A beefed up 10 bolt would probably be fine if your street only.
I have a similar engine with a 150 shot on it and went with the D&D Viper/Chevy close ratio 6 speed and a complete 4.11 12 bolt setup with the HD inner, outer and halfshafts.

sounds good, I'm extremely new to the engine world as well as a corvette owner. the new engine has 505 HP and 535 foot pounds of torque, the engine is specifically for street only. my 75 vette currently has the stock l48 engine and trans. how long do you think it would last if i used the stock trans or would that just be stupid?

The trans and rear end have value now. You can sell them to help offset the costs of the upgrades. When they come apart the value is gone and it can really mess up your car. You can use your rear end to build a HD 10 bolt or a 12 bolt.
