Double checking Mini starter wiring with pics, please
Just to make sure that I don’t mess this up.
Two red and battery positive goes to terminal 2
And Purple goes to terminal 1
Correct?

Checked the wiring diagram and am pretty sure that the battery positive with the two red wires goes to the big No. 2 terminal.
The Purple wire (Clutch switch) goes to the No.1 terminal.
My car is 1980 with HEI distributor, so no coil or other spare wires left.
The Black wire in the harness is Ground and goes to a fastener on Bellhousing.
