Default Holley 8106B electric choke????

Can someone please give me the part number for an electric choke for my carb.? I can't seem to find the part number.

How hard is it to convert from manual to electric choke on this carb.?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is 8106b the LIST number of your carb? I just checked on the Holley website, and they don't list that carb number.

If it is a standard holley, it can probably take an electric choke, and as far as I know, for standard Holley carbs, there are only two: one for an internal vacuum source, and one for an external vacuum source.

Where on the carb is the part number stamped?

The 8106B number is on the driverside sttamped in the body of the carb.. There was also the number 11180-3.

I am at a lose as to what I need. I have tried Jegs and Summit tech lines with no help. I guess I will have to call Holley next????

Look at the front of the air horn. That's the little thingy that kind of looks like a chimney with a flapper plate at the top (choke plate) some folks also call this the choke tower, I think. Tell us the number on the front of this part of the carb. Then at least we'll know what kind of carb you have.

The car is 20 miles from me and I only get to work on it on the weekends. I will have my buddy check the next time he is in his shop.

Thanks for the help.

My buddy was in the shop. He said the number on the air horn was 4773-7. Does that sound right?

Ask your buddy if he is sure it is 4773-7, he may be reading it wrong. An 8 can easily look like a 3, and 4778-7 would be a 700 cfm double pumper. And I can't see why you wouldn't be able to install an external vacuum source electric choke on it.

Good luck! Make sure of that LIST number before you order anything, it's very important.

I think my buddy better invest in glasses.LOL

The carb part number is 4779-7.

He said it was hard to see with the polished carb and trouble light. I took a look at it and it was plain as day. Then again, I have fairly good eyesight.LOL

I think the 4779 is just the next level up from the 700 DP, so you have a 750 DP there. That's an awful lot of carb ya got there, I hope you have the motor for it! But, yes, the same choke kit will fit as on the 700.
