I got some rust on the bottom of my radiator brackets.
One of them was starting to scale.
I wire brushed and sanded the brackets but it there is still what appears to be some very lite surface rust left on the one that was scaling.
1: Will Rustoleum primer followed by a top coat Stop the Rust?
2: If not, which of the following will Stop the Rust? (mult choices OK)
Sand Blast & Powder Coat
POR15 just the affected area & top coat
Eastwood Rust Encapsulator & top coat
btw: This is a complete body off rebuild; and I don't want to cut corners. However I was thinking that the rustoleum primer might do a good job; but I don't know that for sure.
I always treat metal with "Ospho" after wire brushing, but before paint. Put it in a spray bottle and mist it on, then let it dry. Brush off any loose powder with a rag before paint.
