Fuel pump for BB?
I put a chrome Holley fuel pump on my BB and now have noticed that it does not seem to work with the extra fuel vapor line. When I hooked it up I had no fuel pressure and it just returned the fuel to the tank via the vapor line.Do I need to have the vapor line hooked up? What is the purpose of it? When we ran the engine outside of the car I did not have the vapor line installed. My old 350 motor had a GM fuel pump and used both the main fuel line and the return vapor line. Thanks for the help, should I get the GM pump? :confused: :confused:

Do you really need the fuel going back to the tank to cool down? Somone told me thats why there are two lines. Also they mentioned something about the system being pressurized? :confused:

Hi Tom plug the return line and run the holley no problems with out it .Did it on my 68 and dads 69. Also did it on a 4wd S-10 that i v-8ed. no ill effects. :chevy

Terry, Thanks for the info, I will be keeping the Holley pump for sure. I can't believe how loud it was inside the car without the pipes hooked up!!! I was going to take it on Friday to have new pipes connected to the headers, but I think I will do some cruzing this weekend , watch out , it might break some windows!!
