Default Coolant Reservoir Leak?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could help me out with this issue I am having.

The other day I noticed that my 79 car was leaking coolant from the front right side, right where the coolant reservoir is. I cant seem to see exactly why its leaking, I am guessing maybe the reservoir has a small crack?

The coolant in the radiator is full, so nothing leaking from there. I was wondering if any of you have had a similar issue before. I was also wondering what you guys recommend that I do. Replace the reservoir? anything I should know when it comes to replacing it, any instructions on how to do it out there? tips? Is there a specific way I should check it to make sure its the actual reservoir? Any help here would really be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Start simple. Remove it, clean it, and test it for leaks. If it leaking you may be able to patch and repair it. Considering how easy the replacements are to buy and install I see no reason to repair it though. You may also just have a leak from the rubber hose and not the tank. The end of the tube may be dry and cracked and it's dripping down off of the bottom of the reservoir. Just pull it out and look it over. It's an easy process.

Repaired mine with JB Weld. Sprayed area with white primer and you can't see the patch.

Check the ends of the overflow hose. Mine was cracked where it connected to the radiator allowing for a small leak.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I have been pretty busy these past few days and have not been able to get to it, I did look around some more and noticed that the leak is coming from the reservoir (90 percent sure), the leak is very close to part of the reservoir close to the passenger fender.

Now I plan to get to it this weekend but I have kind of a rookie question here before I get started. What do I have to remove in order to remove the actual reservoir?

Sorry, the answer may be obvious to you all, but I looked around I did not have an exact idea of what I would have to do to take it out. I would rather ask before removing stuff I dont need to remove or doing something wrong. Any tips help. Thank you all
