what do you mean the "car is jumped at the firewall"? With the headlights, are you saying when you use the high beam the indicator on the dash doesnt light up? If so, did you check if the bulb is burnt out?

In 74 the government wanted everyone to buckle up before the car would start so GM came up with a system. The public protested so the system was dropped but some early 75's had it to.
If the system failed you could open the hood and press this override button and start your car.
Many owners bypassed this system by jumping the 12 Lt green/black to the 12 purple at the override switch.
Peeps are you sure that connection is correct?
Is this the buzzer (green box) that is making the noise?
I did not bypass the fire wall switch I just opened up the connectors under the seats and no more buzzer and even though I use the seat belts I don't have to buckle up first and the light on the dash stays out.

The "Bright" headlight indicator bulb could be blown, not be connected or not be getting power.
The dimmer switch has 2 green wires, one sends power to the high beam headlights and the other green sends power to the bulb in the speedometer.

OK, the little square "Head Light" indicator in the center dash, that should only light for a second or two between when you pull out the headlight **** while the headlights are going up. Once the lights are up it should go out.
There is one switch attached to each headlight assembly, see if the wires are there and connected.
Never mind my notes, that was from some thing I was working on.
I don't know for sure what wire to disconnect to shut off the seat belt buzzer, but maybe someone can help.
The buzzer and light are pretty simple:power and ground.
If you unplug the seat belt relay in the console(pink and yellow wires) that should kill the power to both the buzzer and dash light.
Hi I hope you can fix the buzzer, they so"""""" **** me off. I am looking at a 1974 vette Fri. for sale and I need to know where to look for the fuse box, so I can look like I know what I am doing. thanks if you can tell me were it is???? moondoggy OUTTTTTT.
