Does anyone know the history behind this one and only? Does it still survive? Has anyone heard any stories about it?
Wanted to let everyone know that my brother-in-law just purchased this car in Danville IL. We have verified the color code. Wish I could post a picture for you, but I have posted a picture of it on my facebook page. Look me up Diana Brockett Gilpin. I have made it a public picture.
Sorry can't post a pic here for some reason. I can email it to you'but need to let you know it has been painted blue. The door plate shows code 41 and my brother in law confirms green under the hood. Email me at dianalee.1972@yahoo if you want pics as car is now.
1982 Silver Green Metallic sounds really familiar. Believe it or not, I think I saw it at the Frederick County (Md.) Corvette Club's Westridge show either last year or the year before that. I remember seeing the color and commenting to the owners that it was really unusual and they told me that it was an original factory color. My memory may be a bit hazy on this, though.
Hi,
This was my Silver Green car. I was at Frederick. Still have.
Here is a picture of one of our groups "one of 92" which he bought from another in our group that also owned the "one of 25" C4 convertibles. Kind of a round about way to get to a small picture though..http://northtexascorvettesforfun.com...nails/b4f0.jpg ... Interesting thread ..
I have also wondered what happened to the Chartreuse Vette as well as the other vettes with limited production. Here is a link to the colors that were available in 77 as well as all other years. http://cobradeuce.com/catalog-usa/19...etCorvette.htm
By the way, has anyone ever seen the 1979 Light Blue Vette or 1982 Silver Green Metallic? Anyone have any pics of the 1 1983 Vette?
Yes on the 1979 Light Blue I currently own one I found in a barn find the owner was the first and only owner until I bought it in spring 2019 the owner Parked it in 1997 and never drove it again I was really surprised when I realized what it was and got a heck of a deal on it I was able to start it the day I bought it and towed it home due to not knowing the condition of brake lines and all the good stuff so after a really good look over its back on the streets in Illinois where I daily drive it.
Had a near new 79 camaro in OE paint ... it was some sickly bamboo green .... very light Non metallic w/ darker green interior ... bought from an Avis independent franchise fleet ... pretty good no-hit car but that color was fugly!

Reviving old posts years later does not really bother me. Some are really interesting...then again some are a bit sickening. Had to look up the color of course. Ugggly to me. ;(

I saw a maybe ~79 Green on green Z/28 when I worked at a car parts store around 1985. Cool car but terrible colors.
