Air Conditioning Bracket
I have a 79 with factory A/C. There is a bracket that attaches right under the carb on the intake and on to the back of the block mounted bracket. My air does work and I do use it on occasion. I am wanting to eliminate the bracket in order to put a set of tall valve covers on. Has anyone done this in the past or have a educated oppinion on this? Thanks.

The bracket was put there because GM felt it necessary to properly hold the compressor in place and incurred the expense in doing so. I personally would not do away with it.
