I did a search on this spring and two years ago dosoctaves and grumpy had issues with the ride height. What did you guys end up with. My problem is the rear tires are out past the fenders but with 8 inch bolts I still have 3 inches between the tire and fender. It is a smallblock with aluminum heads and no spare so I"m lighter than normal. I also have semi-coilovers with the 550# springs coming tomorrow that I"m concerned about being a little to stiff. It"s just a cruiser. Anybody have anything like this? Thanks
Hi Tom, all I can tell you is that the hyperco w 8" bolts rode 2-3" too high! Van Steel wanted me to try 10" bolts and I declined. They swapped for VBP spring and all is good w/ 8" bolts! lots of adjustment available.
Sounds like you may want yours higher than I did mine, and some folks are fine with 10" bolts....I did'nt like how close they were to the lower sidewall and the pavement.
Yes Sir; Mr. dosoctaves, What was the new V. B. P. spring rated at, & is it too stiff, any over-steer, Under-steer??? Mr. Tom, I just bought a set from V.B. P., 460 # ft. 330 # rear. But have been afraid of the same problems, too Stiff & Or too high. Let us know what happens, Sure glad you asked this Question. I have all next winter to get them changed. Thanks, Gene

DoctorGene, I have exactly what you bought and added Bilstein Sports! The car rides and corners significanlty better than it ever did. Went from lots of under steer to lots of oversteer ....but still a major improvement..she stays flat in the corners now. Another thing I must mentioned is I have the borgeson/delphi variable powersteering, so my comments on steering are very skewed. Im sure the steering box is the culprit in the oversteer situation now!
I am quite pleased with the VBP springs and bilstein shock combo! Go for it! The 360/550 combo has a rep for being harsh! You bought the right package imo, but be sure to upgrade the shocks!

Gene, I packed up the 550# coils and the hyperco 330# and sent them out today. They are going to send me 400# coils and their EZ ride spring. Hope I"m not going to far the other way.
