need an answer pretty soon....
Purchased a new alternator. Generator light still on.
Wire most clockwise from the rear of alternator has fire on it but other does not get fire when car is turned to on position......
What is the problem????

Really, knowing what year would help too. The choke heater relay fuse is blown, the relay is bad, or you have a broken wire. All of those are pretty common, just not for every year.
