Default Removing horn button on 78?

Can someone tell me how to remove the horn button on my 78?

The button itself you are supposed to be able to just pull it off,Ive had to pry them off on occasion.

I discovered the hard way, it's better to stick a flat blade screwdriver in there as far as it will go and give it a twist. You can pull the retaining ring straight off the emblem if the upper horn contact is tight.

Of course, I pulled mine off at least 10 times before I ripped the horn cap off of the retaining ring.

You have to angle the blade up a little bit to get it above the telescoping ring, then gently push it in as far as it'll go and give it a twist. I used a 3/8" blade screwdriver.
