When I removed my old vacuum booster I didn't notice a gasket between the brake booster and the firewall. I've installed an Astro van hydroboost, and it didn't have a gasket on the back when I removed it at the wrecking yard.
I noticed there was a gasket called for in the AIM AFTER the booster was installed.

Anyone else install their booster sans gasket?
Do I need to worry about water leaking in?
None needed. The only thing a gasket there would do is cut down on vibrations that might transfer into the cabin and it might aid in sealing off the air space so fumes and such cannot leach through. The van you got it out of had a metal firewall and vibrations and fumes might be more likely. In the C3 with the fiberglass firewall it'll be sealed much better right off the bat.
