two years ago I bought a store brand master cylinder and booster from a chain store. When trying to bleed the brakes I discovered I had to put a washer between the MC and booster because the pin would not let the MC piston come all the way back.
Fast forward to present day. The rear seal failed, booster drew brake fluid in and failed. This time I ordered AC Delco online since all chain stores no longer carry it.
Bottom line is firm and brakes are better than ever and I love it! Any one else notice this?
two years ago I figured that was all there was to use. Why would I put all the labor in to swapping it out for just the same thing? This time when I went looking, I only knew one of the brands available and had trouble with it in the past.
The Delco part was not more expensive than the other new parts available locally, I just had to wait a few days for it to arrive. I'm not even going as far as saying Delco is better. In fact the original post wondered if any body else had experiences like mine.
I guess it is a sign of the times that replacement parts all need 'fitting' to work like they should.
