Speedo cable replaced

Hi Guys-
My wife and I replaced the speedo cable on our 75 yesterday and I would like to relieve the sharp bend where it goes into the manual transmission. Have any of you used the right angle adapter sold by Mid America Motorworks, their part number 609-463, with any success ?

That part is for the tach, not the speedo, I do not know if you can use it on a speedo. If you mean for the tach, I have one on my 73 BB and have had no problems.
