82 corvette will not charge
my 82 corvette will not charge .some times i race the engine it wii come up & stay until i shut it down then it will not charge again . alt & batt is new is there a relay some where

Does the alternator warning light come one when you first turn on the key before starting?
If no, then start the car and connect a test light with the ground clip on the big power stud on the back of the alternator. Then touch the #1 terminal on the 2 terminal plug with the probe without unplugging that connector. I believe it is the brown wire with the #2 terminal having a red wire. You have a problem with the idiot light circuit if this test starts the alternator.

There's the test hole in the back you can ground out and it should go to max voltage but I think it's the regulator because he revved it and it started working. My experience is when they start acting up, it's not worth messing around. Just replace it and save the head ache!
