I saw a "tech tip" web page recently describing step-by-step instructions on how to relocate the emergency brake bracket on the trailing arm to allow more room for wider tires. Does anyone know where I can find this link?? Thank you!!
Re: Trailing arm Brake bracket relocation? (72Shark)
72shark, I looked at the various spots for my wide tires and found moving the Ebrake cable bracket to behind the rotor and them moving the frame brackets outward toward the frame rails was about the only desirable install for me...
that allowed me to keep the original cable setup, nothing custom needed....I added a large washer with hole drilled on the edge to the shock mounting and a spring from that to the cable shroud to be damn sure it did not hit the 275 tires....which are about 1/4 inch from the T arm....
In all honesty, the ebrake is nearly useless anyway, and if you don't have safety inspections, you might as well forgetabout the e brake entirely....
