I dont know the part # but here are the specs
264*@.050 int
268*@.050exh
.670 lift int/exh
110* lobe
My combo made 625 peak hp @ 6600 on an engine dyno
I had no issues with head gaskets using the stock head bolts and FelPro HP gaskets but I always ran race fuel
This was in a 3400lb camaro with 10" tire leaf springs and slapper bars I ran a 4200 ATI converter with a TH350 and 4:10 gear it ran high 10.30's @ 130

Yes. Here is the reeeeeeaaalllyyyy long build thread. Solid roller, better heads and intake would be my choice.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...ld-thread.html
There is a dyno video toward the end. If your using it I would also use beehive springs as the recommended spring rates were not adequate for high rpm use.

The stock LS7 solid flat tappet cam, pn 3959180, has 262/273 degrees at .050 ground on a 110 lsa and gross lift of .556/.594 with 1.7:1 rockers.
Your cam choice is very close to stock and will run & sound great!

E85 works great!

LS-7's were killer bracket race motors. Used to mess with them all the time. The old Crane R262 and similar series cams with .714" lift worked well in them. I'd probably use a 108 or so LSA if I was going to have good fuel anyway to help wake it up some more.

The stock springs for the GM LS7 (pn3959180) cam are 1.487" OD, and 116# at 1.88", with coil bind at 1.100"; and a rate of 317 #/in. These were spec'd for the L88s, ZL1 and LS7.

For any other cam manufacturer, better check with them.

That's just gonna be a nasty race motor, have fun in traffic. Have they found a way to keep the valve out of the cylinder if a beehive spring breaks, I would never use a single spring

Unless its a stock or very mild cam forget beehives. I always run a tad more spring pressure than called for to help idiot proof things.

Using the springs recommended on the cam card is always a wise choice.
