Check the tiny brass contacts on the new PCB to make sure one is not folded over. The harness plug connection is real touchy.

Some have been able to clean this by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes. It would suggest that your in tank solenoid has closed to protect from a diagnostic fault or the the solenoid itself has failed to open when energized (turning the key on).

Did you replace the low fuel light with a bulb + socket?
It requires a special module and socket that triggers low fuel when resistance of the sender wire drops below a certain level.
This is what it all should look like. (aftermarket repro PCB, the original is more of a clear green and more flexible material)
This is a great thread. I have a nonfunctioning tach (surprise surprise) and oil pressure gauge (more worrisome). Has anybody tried to point to point wire the instrumentation in one of these cars? If so, how difficult is it? I am decent with a soldering iron.
