One of my headlight doors sits a little low and rubs against the back of the opening on the car when it opens. This causes the light to open erratically & or slowly and also chips the paint!. I've rebuilt the actuators so both headlights open, but I couldn't see any adjustment bolts or anything under there... Is there such a thing or are shims required? Thanks!
You can adjust the back of the lid using the mounts at the pivot points. Each side has three bolts that hold the pivot bushing assembly on and they are also the adjustment. So loosen those 6 bolts, move the lid where you want it and retighten. You can adjust the front of the lid by turning a stop bolt that's located in the center arm area under the lid.
