Guys, after reading and rebuilding my Qjet I would like to learn and work with the engine. I've a Gen I SB and in the future I would like to change headers, heads, intake manifold, cams... I need absolutelly to start reading something on the topic. Is there any book you can suggest me to start with? I would like to cover also vortec heads... Thanks!
One of the best books ever written was "How to rebuild your small block Chevy" by David Vizard. It was written 40 years ago, but the process hasn't changed.
Another great book is "How to hotrod small block chevrolet engines" by Bill Fisher and Bob Waar. It's kind of dated (also written 40 years ago), but still a good reference.
couple exellant titles recomended by Billla. When ordering these be sure to get the latest versions. I would also recomend SA Design books by Grahm Hanson. A quick search of that author on amazon will set you up with pleanty of usefull reading.
