Cherry Bomb Mufflers
Interested to hear members experience of Cherry Bomb Mufflers. Like? dislike? I have a 79 L82 with stock exhaust and am leaning towards Flowmaster 40's for sound, but the videos of the Cherry Bombs on C3's I have seen sound killer.

Timely post.
I was at a cruise-in back in May and a Corvette had Cherry bombs installed. Too loud for me but I thought that maybe I would look at the 4" or 5" offerings from Thrush or MagnaFlow when I need new mufflers in the near future.
I really liked the look and fit around the spare tire tub (which I still have).

I have a 74 that I just put a rebult motor in. Prior to the rebuild, I ran stock manifold with 2.5 inch and the equilivent of cherry bombs. Not to bad in my opinion. I now have more HP and full length headers hooked to the same exhaust system. Much louder. I think it sounds awsome at idle and on light excelleration. But I have a sour spot between 2500 and 2900 RPM where they have the famous Cherry Bomb Crack to them. Its pretty loud and sort of embarassing.... 
But above and below that, they sould great! Just go light on the gas or power through it!!!

I have the Cherry Bomb Turbo mufflers on my 75.
Love the sound, haven't found the cackle in mine.
Not really sure what that sounds like.
They were just a little loud at 75mph but not bad.
I just installed a 700r4 and now at 75, 2200rpm, all I can hear is the wind going by.
There is a miss in the engine caused by a bad fuel pump. 2 1/2 pounds pressure just didn't quite work.
Can you hear it?
