Speedometer Cable fix

You can do a search and you'll find a lot more info on the subject.
This is a very easy job to replace the cable.
You will be both under the car and under the dash. this is a 2 person job, my 15 year old daughter helped me by pulling the cable out thru the fire wall when I lied on the floor and reached up to release the clip. I removed the drivers seat to make the job a whole lot easier. Once I lied down there was a plastic duct running across under the streering wheel that I unscrewed and pulled out. 1 tiny screw I think held it in place.
Once you have the old one pulled out from the dash thru the fire wall, insert the new cable thru the rubber gromet (the hardest part of the job was getting it in the gromet) and push it back into the firewall. Go back under the dash and line up the cable, squeeze the clip and have the other person push the cable in.
After that I went back out to the motor and seated the rubber gromet into the fire wall and dropped the rest of the cable down into the abyss.
Slide under the car from the drivers side and feed the speedo cable away from the exhaust so that it will never touch it and connect it up to the connector at the rear of the tranny. Reinstall the heating duct and the driver seat and you're done.
After doing this and parking break cables, etc. I am definately building myself some of these ramps.
