It shouldn't be too much different than my '71. I had to remove just a bit of the steering linkage to get the pan to fully drop. You dont need to jack the motor. I'm not too sure if your year can use the 1 piece pan gasket or not. If you can't, be careful with the front and rear pieces.
Also, a good time to check for rear bearing seals.

soon (next week i think) i will be doing front crank seal-steering ram-and now im also thinking of doin the oil pan gasket and rear main seal too "while im in there"
i just bought this vette from a guy in hollwood...
im about 1 1/2 hrs north of you in okeechobee...
That sounds like a good game plan. You might as well take care of the PITA items all at once while your in there. If you need a hand, just shout. 1 1/2 hours isn't too bad.....gives me an excuse to get away from my ongoing saga.
