Took a little time to work on my 77 today, had to replace the temp gauge. well everything worked except for the temp gauge, now that i have it back in the car everything works except for the clock. it worked when I took it out now nothing. but if i pull out the **** and start the change the time the second hand starts moving and the clock works. as soon as I release the adjustment **** the clock stops. any idea whats going on here? i searched the web and around here on the forums and so far havent found an answer.
Its worked flawlessly since I have had the car. Was working when I took it out today to replace the temp gauge, reinstalled it 15 minutes later and now it only works when I try to change the time as soon as I release the **** it stops.

My guess is that when you removed it, it was exposed to dust in the air, and the dust has gunked up the works. So, im guessing it just needs a good cleaning.
possible, but not likely it was out of the car less than 15 minutes and the clock itself was never exposed to any dust or dirt.
